Paul O’Connor
I love collecting art because of the artists—the people. I love people—their stories, ideas, and creations. Making their portraits is a tricky thing. Ultimately a portrait is only a slice, a single facet of a much larger subject. Taos Portraits then puts this body of work into its best form of a single subject: the Taos art community. The portraits and the stories together help create the context of the community beyond the individual subject.
