TAOS PORTRAITS

Taos Portraits is a collection of photographs by Paul O’Connor featuring members of the Taos art community. The series has filled six solo exhibits and two books, documenting more than 35 years of light and action in the Taos art community. 

TAOS PORTRAITS: PHOTOS BY PAUL O’CONNOR volume 1
was awarded Best Cover Design, Best Art Book, Best New Mexico Book, and Best Book in the New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards of 2013.

The 12” x 15” coffee table book is proudly placed in many libraries and museums including Book Club of California, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and the US Library of Congress.

TAOS PORTRAITS II: PHOTOS BY PAUL O’CONNOR celebrates the living legacy of the Taos art community with 60 B&W portraits of nationally famous, regionally known, and occasionally obscure artists; yet, all made their mark in the community. The accompanying essays illuminate the extraordinary personalities.
